Mr. Pyne comes from a long line of artistic people stretching back to his grandfather who used to live in England doing book printing.  The family immigrated to the United States before Mr. Pyne was born and took up residence in the desert area of Nevada.  Privacy was of most importance and so not very much is known about Mr. Pyne’s early years.  As he matured, however, he began to play with colored pencils, inks and tube paints, and started to get a knack for doing landscapes – soft and indistinct.  Getting much more familiar with all sorts of other medias, Mr. Pyne preferred acrylic for its ease of creating new pieces. Before settling on doing landscapes, Mr. Pyne is quite adept at transitional and contemporary works.
