Inspired by the stunning bodywork of the classic cars she would see on the road, artist Cait Dansbury created this unique beauty that blends photography and abstract art together. She used different means of media in order to capture the intricate lines and curves of the antique automobile models.
Lucille features a high resolution image printed directly on canvas with a glass coat finish, bringing a natural balance between the realistic beauty of photography and the creative edge of abstract art. The epoxy, resin based finish that is applied to the image is a multi-step process that is hand poured and renders a durable and protective polished glass coated finish. This creates a greater level of depth and dimension to the piece. The finish also serves a sealer, which is moisture resistant, protects for warping or sagging, and ensures the lasting original beauty of the artwork.

Cait Dansbury travels the world in search of unique beauty. She has captured the most fascinating details from ancient architecture, plush gardens and historic downtowns in more than 400 cities around the world. Cait combines photography with abstract forms and vibrant colors to enhance any room or public space. She traveled the world during college through the semester at sea program, and now resides in Southern California with her husband, two children and two dogs.
