Giovanni Russo was born in Potenza, Italy and grew up exploring the old castle Torre Guevera, which hosts numerous art exhibits. He decided to become a painter at a young age, and left home at 16 to fulfill his dream. He studied at Brera Academy in Milan, and travelled throughout Europe in search of his own artistic voice. His painting style is bold and colorful, nuanced with undertones of brooding passion.
