Wanda Rijborz has had a love of painting since she was very little.  She has always loved flowers and foliage.  She used to lie in the grass and look at the light coming through the leaves.  She has always been intrigued by the "negative" spaces.  She even defined the flowers or main objects in her art by being inspired by those negative spaces.  She considers those spaces to be as important as the subjects.  She often uses gold or silver leafing in her work, and loves how they define the light.  she also loves to use water droplets in each of her pieces, and feels it identifies her personal signature on each one.

The colors she chooses come more from emotion than from actual nature.  The colors seem to evolve as she puts her brush to the canvas, and she enjoys the surrealistic quality the pieces take on as she paints.

Wanda is an accomplished graphic artist and an award winning photographer.  She even enjoys time spent cooking and creating in the kitchen, after which she entertains and loves to feed her friends and family.  This is Wanda’s way of expressing her love for them.  Wanda plays the harp, enjoys all types of music and the theater arts.  Above all her painting is her passion.
