Scientists say that the total amount of water in a human body is 57 percent of body weight.  When you are born, it is 75 percent and is progressively decreasing as you grow older. As a photographer, Ross is trying to beat the odds and immerse himself in as much water as possible to make up for this deficit. As he says, “My mother dropped me underwater at 6 weeks of age and a life-long passion was born.”

Ross has been on photo adventures everywhere on the globe and has seen our environment change.  The underwater world is the litmus for things to come and it is sometimes hard to swallow, but he feels you must show through photographs how beautiful our world really is in order to help in preservation.  His commercial campaigns, whether it be environmentally related or not, has always taken on this responsible vision. 

The passion for travel and adventure is evident during his photo shoots.  He has slept in the belly of a boat for 3 weeks waiting for a face-to-face encounter with a great white shark.  He has cut his arm open in the middle of the Panamanian Jungle, but kept shooting while underwater in a trash line that stretched for hundreds of miles.  In the Dry Tortugas, he documented a boat of 50 Cuban immigrants swimming to U.S. soil from a badly damaged raft.  He wants the world to experience adventure through his eyes and think about the world beyond their backyard and strip mall.  His goal is to tell an entire story in one snapshot.

Chris now resides in Atlanta, Georgia and awaits his next big adventure.
