Growing up in British Columbia, one of Wani's earliest and fondest memories is opening up a brand new box of Crayola Crayons with the built in sharpener on the back - from this her love for art and anything colorful was formed. Wani attended the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts - a school known for it's strong political and social views. She thrived at U.P Diliman, where she learned to paint with a conscience; this is evident in her work where she incorporates art with her environmental and social views. Wani Pasion has since moved back to Canada where she happily puts her thoughts on to canvas.
