Mr. Moran’s paintings are luminous treasures, capturing light and atmosphere in a way that quiets the head and feeds the soul. His landscapes, which he paints on location, are his attempt to communicate the moment and the spontaneity of the scene. His is a loose and flowing style because, in his words: “it tells much more than infinite detail.” He currently exhibits work here on the East End and in Manhattan. He first showcased his “Manhattan Rain Series” in 2002, when the Bentley Publishing Group introduced it to the international art publishing market at Art Expo New York. One of the paintings in that series, "Waiting for a Cab-Park Avenue," is currently ranked #20 on Bentley’s Top 100 list as an art poster winning out over thousands of other images in their line. This Fall look forward to the release of several Moran images from the series including the favorite “Sharing”.
