Three wood panels are dusted with gold leaf and carved out into a bamboo forest, casting each piece with gentle gradations of color and texture.  Due to the hand carving, the engraved bamboo forest glows against the warm gold backdrop.  The three panels gracefully fragment the clusters of bamboo plants, adding a hint of abstraction to a clean and simple design.
