Our Taru Collection has a unique design where the traditional and classic meet the sculptural and contemporary.

The carved bamboo detailing throughout the table and chairs is all hand-carved by artisans. This collection is crafted 100% by hand using sustainable, renewable resources to bring a natural look and feel to your home.

• The table is made from lauan, also known as Philippine Mahogany, and gmelina woods. Philippine Mahogany is a renewably harvested, indigenous hardwood to the Philippines.  Gmelina is a beautiful, plantation grown and fast replenishing hardwood that occurs naturally throughout the world in moist fertile valleys.
• Crushed bamboo dining table top is composed of renewable and sustainable bamboo laminated over and engineered hardwood substrate.  Bamboo construction is becoming increasingly common as we move to make "greener" choices in manufacturing.  It is both lighter and stronger tan traditional materials and its cultivation is environmentally friendly.
• The Chairs are constructed of renewable lauan and gmelina wood with hand woven rattan caning on the seats and back.
• Rattan is a fast growing indigenous vine that is durable, lightweight, and flexible. 
• The collection is stained in a deep rich vintage espresso color, applied by hand in a 15-step process that ensures clarity and depth.
• Plastic glides protect floors.
• Table has metal assembly hardware; as with most dining tables, simple assembly is required.
