A former Incheon National University alumni, she draws from her formative background for methodical techniques as well as drawing inspiration from among her favorite artists Picasso, Frida Kahlo, and other modern art pioneers. She specializes in wall d&#233;cor that brings life to a variety of home settings. A perfect balance of avant-garde and traditional imagery with a tireless pursuit for trend have culminated in relevant and vibrant compositions. Working with various mediums she has found unique characteristics in the use of acrylics paints along with, heavy textures, foils and divers application techniques.

She studied illustration at Art Center College of Design where she developed her fundamental drawing and painting skills, as well as getting basic knowledge of technical programs. For Jean, art means lots of things. She thinks art is her language and a privilege given to her to express. It is also the way that she can communicate with the world in her own unique and personal way. Jean finds her inspirations in small things that make her excited.&#160; For example, movies, a lazy day on a beach, and the silence of a rainy day.

While studying in university, I used many oriental instruments like oriental ink stick, bamboo brush and oriental traditional paper. Art means every moment and focusing ones feeling to me. My inspiration comes from my life experiences. I&#8217;m interested in photography, especially in landscape. I&#8217;m inspired by nature, travel, people, and music. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums such as acrylic, watercolor and oriental ink. I like to meet new people, watch movies and go hiking.

As a young adult she went to art school and loved it. Ann received her fine arts training at Laguna College of Art and Design. Ann is currently based in Laguna Beach, California. Her favorite childhood memory related to art was when she would draw and paint with her grandmother. This lead Ann on a path to the world of art. Ann&#8217;s favorite medium is watercolor, &#8220;I love when the colors flow into each other creating new washes.&#8221; Ann uses nature and wildlife to explore themes within her art. The movements that most influenced Ann were Impressionism and Art Nouveau. Ann&#8217;s passions include, art, animals, nature and reading on the beach. Ann&#8217;s statement as an artist is to show the beauty in animals and nature.
