She honed her basic skills using graphic programs and painting in her college art class. Sonia majored in graphic design. After completing her education, she worked with a company making manuals for a short time where she developed art digitally. This brought forth her passion for creating digital art and develop her illustrator skills. Drawing inspiration from nature, fashion and architecture, Sonia enjoys expressing thoughts and emotion through her work. She especially focuses on color combinations. Sonia&#8217;s preferred mediums are watercolor, acrylic, colored pencils, and digital editing. In her free time, she enjoys playing the classical guitar and learning different languages. Sonia relishes in immersing herself into the artistic community of Los Angeles to find her next muse.

As a young girl, she was fascinated with the vast diversity of the world around her. She conveyed that fascination into art and was praised by her teachers as a talented artist. </div><div><br /></div><div>She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from Whittier College and a Master of Arts from California State University, Los Angeles. After completing her education, Beverly Fuller spent the next year traveling all across the United States, soaking up inspiration that launched her into a creative journey of becoming a painter.</div><div><br /></div><div>Currently, she resides in Northern California with her husband and two daughters. Every other month, Beverly travels back down to her hometown of Los Angeles to immerse herself into the artistic community and to find her next muse.<br /></div>

At school, Bassmi&#8217;s talent was recognized at 14 by an art teacher, who for the next seven years instructed him privately both in traditional techniques and in &#8220;how to feel and think as an artist.&#8221; Bassmi went on to study at Ain Shams University, receiving his BA degree in art in 1963. Bassmi attended 4 years of noncredit studies at the College of Fine Art, and while the curriculum focused on making art in older styles, ranging from classical to Impressionist, Bassmi was deeply attracted to modern painting, that eventually became his lifelong preoccupation. In 1965, awakening early one morning with his mind clear and open, Bassmi realized a need to paint from his inner self. What followed was an outpouring of 150 small ink wash images that connected the observable and the subconscious. This approach, which the artist calls, &#8220;painting from my gut and not my mind&#8221;, would prove basic to Bassmi&#8217;s art.&#160;<br /><br />Bassmi&#8217;s work is in several corporate and private collections and has been widely exhibited in the United States and abroad. His recent solo exhibitions include those at St. Petersburg College, the University of South Florida, Eckerd College, Salt Creek Art Colony, Pensacola Museum of Art, Panama City Art Center and Parkersburg Art Center, West Virginia.

This method was used in order to help Atkins with his fear of speech and expression, and his love of drawing and painting grew from there. This freedom to communicate through the medium of art also transferred to his verbal expression, and Atkins went on to participate in Speech and Debate both in High School and in College.&#160; His move to Germany fostered his love of painting further, and now Atkins, having moved back to Southern California, has created a studio for himself where he can create.&#160; His artwork encapsulates the real and the abstract, issuing a balance of two worlds juxtaposed to each other in his works.&#160; His techniques range from the simple to innovative, prescribing ingenuity to his work that his admirers not only enjoy, but themselves strive to create.&#160; Atkins has recently begun teaching children with disabilities art, because of his own impediment; he is able to reach the children on their level; to help them express themselves in a way that set free his articulation out of its chains of repression.

He is heavily influenced by graphic design, Art Deco, and traditional animation. Richard developed an affinity towards art at an early age where he took every opportunity to incorporate art into his assignments. During his early years while attending elementary school, he would doodle on the blank side of envelopes or any discarded paper. This drove his passion to pursue taking studio art courses while in high school &amp; continued that pursuit through to a four-year formal art education.</div><div><br /></div><div>As an artist that is heavily influenced by graphic design, Art Deco, and traditional animation, Richard aims to capture beauty in whichever subject he is painting. He focuses on ways to exploit the basic elements of art to create a satisfying and cohesive design. As an artist, Richard seeks to improve and challenge himself. He states that, &#8220;With the internet, I am constantly inspired by art either in the fine art or commercial field. It is this exposure that leads me to constantly explore different mediums and styles.&#8221;&#160;</div>
